Structural steel is awkward to move. A bundle of RSJs is heavy, long and unforgiving — it cannot be slid off a standard flatbed by hand, and a building site rarely has a forklift big enough or a crane parked ready to receive it. Most steel deliveries therefore involve hiring a separate crane or wagon-and-drag arrangement at the destination, with the cost and scheduling headache that comes with it. Our 26-tonne flatbed with on-board HIAB removes that step entirely: the same vehicle that collects the steel from your supplier lifts it off into position at the destination.

We work for steel stockholders, fabricators, structural engineers, contractors and self-builders. Common runs are from a steel stockholder to a site somewhere in the UK, from a fabrication shop to an installation address, or — a specific service customers ask for repeatedly — from a galvaniser back to the final destination. The galvanising run matters because steel coming back from a hot-dip bath normally has to wait for a separate haulier; we handle the full triangle of fabricator, galvaniser and final site under one booking and one quote.

Loads we move regularly include universal beams and columns, RSJs for structural openings, RHS and SHS box section, angle iron and channel, fabricated goal-post frames, welded brackets and baseplates, structural decking sheets, cladding rails and longer steelwork that will not fit on a standard rigid. Where the destination is a residential street or a tight commercial yard, the on-board crane reaches over fencing or scaffolding so the steel lands in the structural opening rather than on the pavement. The service is nationwide. We are based in Kent with direct access to the M2, M20 and M25, which puts most of the UK within a sensible day's run. Long-haul jobs to the Midlands, the North, Wales and the South West are part of our regular schedule, and we plan loads around tachograph hours so a delivery to a working site arrives when it is needed rather than at the end of a driver's day.
