Nationwide HIAB Delivery
UK-Wide Crane Transport from Our Kent Base
Based in Kent, working the whole of the UK. A 26-tonne flatbed with on-board HIAB crane replaces the usual trio of haulier, crane and forklift with a single vehicle and a single operator — for jobs from Cornwall to the Highlands.

Most heavy or awkward deliveries break down into three separate problems: getting the load onto a vehicle, moving the vehicle to its destination, and getting the load off the vehicle at the other end. Solving them as three separate problems is how you end up paying for a haulier, a crane and a forklift — sometimes all on the same day, sometimes spread across two visits. The point of a HIAB flatbed is that it solves all three with one vehicle. The crane is permanently mounted to the lorry, and the same operator who drives is the same operator who lifts.
We are positioned on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent with direct access to the M2, M20 and M25. From the yard it is a short run to the Dartford crossing and onto the northern motorway network, or south-west onto the M3 and M4. In practical terms that puts the Midlands inside three hours, the North West and Wales well within a working day, and Scotland reachable on a two-day plan. Long-distance jobs are part of our normal week — not a one-off — so the price you get back is a real price, not a deterrent quote.
The use case for a nationwide HIAB job is usually that one or both ends of the journey lacks lifting capability. A buyer 250 miles from a seller, neither of whom owns a forklift. A construction project taking delivery from a fabricator in another region with no crane on standby. A site clearance where the items being collected need lifting onto the vehicle in the first place. In all three cases the on-board crane removes the dependency on other equipment being in the right place at the right time. Customers who need the full self-loading crane delivery picture often find this page first.
The vehicle itself is a rigid 26-tonne flatbed. Payload is sufficient for almost any single industrial item a normal customer needs moved — machine tools, generators, containers up to 26ft, full pallets of materials, steel sections, plant equipment, garden buildings. For exceptionally large abnormal loads we also offer abnormal loads and haulage as a separate service. Where the destination is in Kent itself, the local HIAB crane hire page covers same-county work in more detail.
