Containers are deceptive. They are a fixed, well-known shape, but they are also heavy, awkward and pretty much the only load that cannot be slid or rolled into position once it has arrived. The thing that makes them practical for storage and on-site accommodation — their rigid steel construction — is the same thing that makes them difficult to handle without a crane that has been sized for the job. Most domestic and small commercial customers therefore find themselves either paying for a separate crane on the day, or being told that the container is on its way but no one knows who is going to lift it off.

Our 26-tonne flatbed with on-board HIAB crane removes that uncertainty. The same lorry that collects the container from the depot, supplier, port yard or previous site is the lorry that delivers and places it at the destination. The container goes onto the flatbed at the start of the journey and comes off it at the end — by the same operator, using lifting kit that has come with the load. Where the site requires the container to be placed inside a yard, between buildings, on the far side of a fence or onto a prepared concrete base, the on-board crane reaches over the obstacle.

Typical customers include site setup contractors, property developers, commercial landlords, schools, farm businesses, gym owners (where shipping containers are converted into gyms and saunas), storage rental companies, festival and events teams, homeowners adding garden storage, and end users buying a container directly from a supplier for the first time. Containers we transport range from 6ft mini-stores up to 26ft units. Standard 20ft ISOs, 20ft welfare and office cabins, anti-vandal site stores, refrigerated units, plant storage, and conversion containers all sit within our envelope. For sites that need a unit moved within their own boundary — a "move from here to there" job rather than a road transport job — the vehicle can also be hired locally as self-loading crane hire.
